This is the website for Welsh artist James Donovan.

Born in Aberdare in 1974, James makes paintings inspired by a sense of escapism. They can be chaotic, calm and comical, using personal and universal symbolism to create engaging narratives.

James was the recipient of the Sir Leslie Joseph Young Artist of the Year in 1998. His paintings have been exhibited widely across Wales and in London during a career that began when he was still a degree student.
